A Case of the Wants

Why is it that human nature always tells us we need something better than what we have? In some cases I’m sure this is perfectly okay. Say if your toothbrush was all crusty and the bristles were falling out, then yes your human nature should tell you it’s time to get a new toothbrush. But when it comes to things in those gray areas such as houses, cars, motorbikes, boats, planes…you know those things that in most cases are in perfectly good shape. My dilemma is the new Triumph Daytona 675. Now if your not a fan of motorbikes this does not pertain to you, but since I only have three readers I figure the three of you can at least see where I’m coming from. You can read the write up at Motorcyclist and Motorcycle Daily. Even my wife read the Motorcyclist article…that’s a good sign! Granted there is nothing wrong with my D600, but they are claiming this new 675 is the bike Triumph should have build all along. The fact that they have developed the signature Triumph Triple setup is amazing! Good by Mr 4-cyclinder. For $8999 it’s a steal at $71 per 1bhp. Okay I’ll stop drooling for now. Carry on.
